The sight of a gorgeous Beaver full moon rising behind the iconic Half Dome in California's Yosemite National Park is truly awesome.

Autumn foliage along Clopper Lake is illuminated by a rising Hunter's moon. The moonlight shining through a partly cloudy creates a quiet mood and sensation that something is about to happen. Hunter's moon is a name given to the first full moon after the Harvest moon, which occured in September.

Carolina Moon and Frisco Pier

A full moon rises over the remains of the Cape Hatteras Fishing Pier at Frisco, North Carolina. The pier was damaged in 2010 by Hurricane Earl and with each passing storm more and more of it falls into the ocean. This popular landmark is scheduled to be demolished and removed during the Fall of 2016.
